If your mainboard is limited to 20-28 km/h and you live too far away to bring the scooter in, you can send the board to us and we will unlock it to full speed. You also get our firmware with full speed, charging mode disabled, cruise control, extra power (30 A), motor start at 2 km/h, and free rolling downhill, since we turn off KERS (regenerative braking), which trickle-charges the battery every time you coast downhill without throttle. Police mode can also be selected: you then have to start the scooter with the brake lever held down for it to run at full speed; otherwise it does 20 km/h when started as usual.

Important before you send it! Check that you do not have an aftermarket mainboard. The photos above show how to tell an original from a copy.
The MI3 Lite (Xiaomi 3 Lite) cannot be ST-linked or tuned, so if you have one of those or later, do not send the board in — this applies only to the MI3 Lite version. The standard MI3 works, but the power may need turning down, as it shuts off at normal maximum power; write in the order comment that you have an Mi3 and we will lower the power, since the Mi3 has weaker batteries.
In the photos you can see that boards with a red cable running through are copies. That is the temperature sensor: originals have it in blue while copies have it in red. There are plenty of other differences too.
If you have a Pro or Pro 2 it will do 30-35 km/h, as some mainboards top out at 30 km/h on the Pro 2.
If you have an M365, Essential or 1S it will do a maximum of 30 km/h.
The speeds depend on at least 55 PSI in the tyres and on your weight.
There is always a risk that this will not work if your mainboard is damaged or locked with, for example, the Xiaoflasher premium service. So if you bought it second-hand and do not know whether it is locked, that risk exists.
If you have had firmware installed that you are unsure about and the scooter has become locked, it is best to send in both the mainboard and the dashboard so we can unlock them.
When you buy this service you also buy the return shipping and pay for it when you place the order. You need to buy the shipping to us yourself, and send it to:
